Chef Michael McFarland and Sommelier Daniel

Meet Chef Michael

Chef Michael McFarland’s love of food started early and never let go. After studying Hotel Management at Georgian College — where he discovered his true calling in the culinary program during his first year — he set out to see the world, working in hotels across the globe and building a career rooted in hospitality, precision, and a genuine passion for great food.

Those years of international experience gave Chef Michael a broad palate and a deep appreciation for diverse cuisines, ingredients, and techniques. But no matter where in the world he worked, he found that the most memorable meals were always the ones shared around a table with people you care about — and that’s the feeling he brings to every event he cooks for.

When he’s not cooking for clients, Chef Michael is hosting dinner parties for friends, hunting down new ingredients at local markets, and dreaming up dishes that push his creativity. That same curiosity and love of the craft is what you get when you book Culinary & Cork — not just a chef, but someone who genuinely lives for food.

Based in Barrie, Ontario, Chef Michael serves clients across Simcoe County, Muskoka, Severn, the Blue Mountains, Collingwood, and the GTA. Whether you’re planning a special celebration, an intimate dinner party, or a corporate dining event, he’s ready to make it unforgettable.
